Batmobile wows the crowds in Wolverhampton at comic event
The Caped Crusader's favoured mode of transport made a spectacular appearance at the Wulfrun Centre in Wolverhampton on Saturday as part of the Free Comic Book Day festivities.

The iconic Batmobile, drew crowds of excited fans to the shopping centre on Saturday, in an event centred around Forbidden Planet's comic book giveaway.

The centre was transformed into a comic lover's paradise, with fans treated to free comics while supplies lasted, many of them having arrived early to secure their copies.

Visitor Rachel Daker said: "Seeing the Batmobile up close was absolutely brilliant."

The event also featured meet-and-greets with several comic book artists and writers who signed autographs and discussed their creative processes with fans. Attendees had the opportunity to watch live drawing demonstrations and participate in comic-themed activities throughout the day.
One corner of the centre was transformed into a lively Dungeons and Dragons arena, where both newcomers and experienced players joined in epic fantasy adventures.
The tabletop roleplaying game sessions attracted considerable attention, with many shoppers stopping to watch the creative storytelling unfold.
Many of the centre's other retailers joined in the comic book theme, offering special discounts and themed merchandise to mark the occasion.
Food vendors also participated with superhero-inspired treats and refreshments.
Free Comic Book Day, held annually on the first Saturday in May, has grown into a major cultural event since its inception in 2002.
The initiative aims to introduce new readers to comic books and celebrate comic book culture, which has exploded in popularity with the success of superhero films and TV shows in recent years.
