Willenhall pub brings community together with big opening day following extensive refurbishment

The new licensee of a Willenhall pub has spoken of her desire to bring the community together as she and her team celebrated the pub reopening.

The United Kingdom on Bloxwich Road North in Willenhall reopened on Thursday following a transformational investment of almost £340,000 by Proper Pubs, the community wet-led operator division of Admiral Taverns.

To celebrate the refurbishment, the pub hosted a special ‘music through the decades’ themed evening with a live performance at from Caroline Crystal and will feature a bank holiday weekend of entertainment including live music, karaoke and a bouncy castle for children on Monday.

Licensee Sarah Darcy had been celebrating the reopening with her partner Neil Partridge and said that she was delighted to have the opportunity to run a community pub.
