I visited the thriving town of Sedgley and learned about the history of the famous Bull Ring and Courthouse
Sedgley is a thriving town on the cusp of the Dudley to Wolverhampton road with a rich history of working class endeavour and some 'salt of the earth' Black Country people.

Despite economic challenges and the closure of the indoor Concord Market in January, there was a bright outlook and positive vibes amongst traders including those in the quaint Penny Farthing Arcade - they certainly enjoy running businesses in Sedgley and meeting people from the town and other areas who shop there.

Former Sedgley councillor Bill Etheridge, whose family has lived there since the 1980s says the future is bright for the area.
He said: "Like most places, Sedgley has to deal with the economic reality of the present time, but I actually think that it is bright here.
"Sedgley is on the general cross link between Wolverhampton and Dudley and enjoys a lot of visitors to the town centre around the Bull Ring area and the streets leading off there.
"There is a good demographic and mix of different businesses from hairdressers to restaurants and cafes, all mainly independent traders which people like and generally support.
"And the Concord Market will not stay empty for good there are plans for it in the pipeline for it to be used again.
