Residents of Shrewsbury Close, a small close knit community were coming to terms with the scene this morning - some had been re-homed overnight by Walsall Council in hotels.
Nine fire crews attended the scene last night and one was still on site this morning as an investigation into the cause of the blaze began. Police were also present and are expected to remain there most of the day.
Two people were btaken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham with serious injuries.
West Midladns Fire Service is investigating the cause.
