Eight men pleaded guilty to charges including committing grievous bodily harm and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life after a mass brawl broke out in Walsall.
The group were involved in a 'premeditated' violent attack which took place on July 31, 2024, on Reedswood Lane, Walsall shortly before 11.50pm.
The brawl started when a vehicle, that was sitting on the road, was aggressively rammed by two other vehicles.

Five men, all of whom were in the first vehicle, were then set upon by a group of other men armed with a firearm, machetes, knives, baseball bats and a cricket bat.
The men launched a savage attack on the vehicle, where a firearm was also discharged four times, resulting in significant and life-threatening injuries to the victims.

Following the incident, the men in the vehicle managed to drive themselves to Walsall Manor Hospital, where they presented various severe injuries, including slash and gunshot wounds.
All of the men suffered serious, life-threatening injuries requiring multiple surgeries, with one victim being placed in an induced coma due to the severity of their wounds.

The suspects were arrested following an extensive investigation by West Midlands Police, who utilised CCTV images and video, as well as phone tracking to ascertain the movements of those involved.
The men, all from the Walsall area, appeared at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Monday, where they were due to stand trial.

However, they instead changed their pleas and pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit GBH and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
Those pleading guilty are:
Amar Shazhad, aged 37, from Victor Street,
Hezar Iyaiz, aged 20, from Alumwell Road
38-year-old Mohammed Sajid, from Exeter Place.
Kamran Moore, aged 22, from Deepmore Avenue,

Shazad Mahmood, aged 34, from Drayton Street,
Khurum Sajad, aged 23, from Hucker Road
Waheed Ayub, aged 28, from Westbourne Street.
An eighth man, Umar Saddique, aged 29, pleaded guilty to assisting an offender.

All will be sentenced over two days on June 12 and June 13, with all defendants who admitted GBH and possession of a firearm being remanded to appear in custody until sentencing in June.
Detective inspector Francis Nock, from the West Midlands Police major crime team, who led the investigation, said: "We are delighted with the convictions.

"This was a really shocking outbreak of violence in which weapons were used and firearms discharged and victims were left with life-threatening injuries.
"Officers worked extensively on the case to identify the suspects and bring them into custody and finally before the courts.
"We want to send out a clear message that we won’t tolerate people who use weapons on our streets and demonstrate violence such as we have seen in this case. If you behave in this manner we will arrest and charge you and bring you before the courts.
"They face many years behind bars when they are brought back to court next month."
