Man charged with grievous bodily harm after stabbing in Birmingham

A man is set to appear in court after another man was stabbed.

Abdul Siddique was charged with grievous bodily harm following the incident, which happened on Thursday afternoon (April 24) on Yardley Wood Road in Birmingham.

A man in his 20s suffered stab injuries and was taken to hospital, where he remained on Monday in a stable condition.

Siddique, of Hall Green, was remanded into custody and is due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court today (Monday), while West Midlands Police has issued an appeal for anyone with any information on the attack to get in touch as soon as possible.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "A man has been charged after another man was stabbed in Birmingham last week.

"Abdul Saddique, aged 32 from Hall Green has been charged with grievous bodily harm. He has been remanded in custody to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court, today.

"Our investigation is ongoing and we ask anyone who may have any information about the incident to contact us via Live Chat on our website or call 101 quoting 20/219209/25."
