Four men charged after police discover Walsall cannabis factory

Four men have been charged with cultivating cannabis and abstracting electricity after police raided a house in Walsall.

Officers from West Midlands Police responded to reports of suspicious activity at a house on The Crescent on Thursday and discovered 100 cannabis plants, as well as finding that the electricity had also been bypassed.

Four men aged between 22 and 29-years-old were arrested and charged and were remanded into custody to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on Monday.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "Four men have been charged after a cannabis factory was discovered in Walsall.

"The men aged between 22 and 29 have been charged with cultivating cannabis and abstracting electricity.

"They have been remanded in custody to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court tomorrow morning.

"This comes after suspicious activity was reported at an address on The Crescent, Walsall on Thursday.

"Officers responded and discovered 100 cannabis plants inside the property. The electricity had also been bypassed.
