Two men and two teenagers arrested after robbery at Lichfield shop

Police have arrested four people after responding to a robbery at a shop in Lichfield.

Officers were called at about 3.30pm yesterday (Thursday, April 24) to Bakers Lane after reports that a group of people had stolen mobile phones from a shop and assaulted a member of staff who was not seriously injured.

Officers started working rapidly to find the suspects. One who was already in the area stopped one person at a bus station, while three other people were stopped at a nearby train station.

Stolen items were found.

Four people from the Birmingham area have been detained.

Two men, aged 34 and 32, have been arrested on suspicion of robbery and affray.

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and affray.

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and affray.

Enquiries are ongoing.
