Officers were called at about 4.15pm on Tuesday April 22 after concerns were raised about a group of teenage boys who were wearing face coverings.

It was reported the group attempted to steal a moped on Bird Street, antagonised a homeless man and harassed a woman near a shop.

When officers started looking for them, the group tried to run away.

They were caught, and five people were arrested  on suspicion of attempted theft and robbery.

They have all been questioned in custody and released on bail while police continue to investigate.
