Man charged with drink driving and other offences following Staffordshire crash

A man has been charged with drink driving and number of other offences following a collision in Stone.

Emergency services were called at 6.45pm on Monday (21 April) to the A51 Aston Island following reports of a collision.

Officers attended and found two vehicles involved in the collision.

Drivers reported the road being closed off with cones and seeing ambulance and police presence on the road, however no one was injured in the collision.

Michael Joseph Richardson, aged 32, of Newcastle-under-Lyme, has since been charged with drink-driving, driving without due care and attention and criminal damage to property valued under £500.

He has been placed on unconditional bail ahead of a court appearance due at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on May 8.
