Woman wanted on recall to prison following multiple shop thefts in Willenhall arrested by officers

A woman has been arrested and taken into custody for recall to prison following multiple shop thefts.

The 31-year-old woman was arrested on Tuesday by officers from the Willenhall neighbourhood team after being wanted on recall to prison following multiple shop thefts in the Willenhall area.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We’ve arrested a woman who was wanted on recall to prison following multiple shop thefts in the Willenhall area.

"The woman, aged 31, was arrested yesterday (Tues) by officers from our Willenhall neighbourhood team. She was taken into custody for recall to prison.

"Combatting shop thefts is a priority at Walsall LPA and we launched Op Marigold in a bid to tackle shop thefts across the Walsall borough."

Sergeant Paul Smith, from the Willenhall neighbourhood team, said: “This was an excellent arrest carried out by two members from my team. 

"She was wanted on recall to prison for committing multiple shop theft offences. 

"Offenders such as this have a drain on our resources and a big impact on local businesses.”
