Paul Wood, 50 and of Cavendish Gardens, Walsall, could be heard shouting throughout the court building yesterday morning (Tuesday) before the start of his five-day trial.
And when presented in the dock he continued his tirade of insults, prompting the judge to send him back to the cells and start his trial without him.
Wood was on trial for charges including intentional strangulation, criminal damage to a car, assault by beating, beating an emergency worker and possessing what was believed to be class A drugs.
