Easter miracle: Sky-high cat reunited with kittens after giving birth in a tree and being found 'helpless' by pedestrian

A mother and her five kittens have been reunited she gave birth in a tree after a feline friendly pedestrian spotted a helpless newborn on a Walsall pavement.

The kitten, which still had its umbilical chord attached, was spotted by a passer-by Steve Parkes on Pool Street, Caldmore

He picked up the kitten and phoned around local cat charities and feline foster carers Purrs Cat Rescue Walsall agreed to take the little one in. 

However, Steve returned to where he found the kitten that night and using a super strong focus camera spotted where the mother was ensconced in a tree.

After the RSPCA and Fire Service declined to help a window cleaner from Bilston saved the day and brought the still pregnant mother and two kittens down to earth safely. 

Jay Winton, from JW Window Cleaning, brought his ladders and safety equipment and set about bringing down the sky-high moggie back to solid ground.

Charlotte Bartlett, co-founder of Purrs, told the Express & Star: "It is a miracle the mother and her five kittens are all together now.
