Power restored to hundreds of homes after Birmingham factory blaze

Electricity has been restored to almost 400 properties after a factory fire in Birmingham.

More then 70 firefighters fought the flames and smoke at the premises in Warwick Road in Sparkhill on Sunday.

Fire engines were called

West Midlands Fire Service said power has now been restored to around 380 properties affected by the incident which was reported shortly after 7am yesterday.

Crews remained on scene all night and the brigade urged residents to continue to keep windows and doors closed.

No-one was hurt.
