Man and child hit by car in West Bromwich - police appeal for information

A man and a child were injured after being struck by a car in West Bromwich.

The pedestrians were hit by the vehicle on Lloyd Street on Sunday (April 20) afternoon.

Police were called to the scene shortly after 3pm to carry out enquiries and support ambulance crews.

A number of ambulance service vehicles and police cars were spotted on Seagar Street, near to its junction with Lloyd Street, by the Crown and Cushion pub.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson added: "A man and a child were treated at the scene for their injuries, which were not thought to be life-threatening.

"Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with more information can get in touch via 101 or Live Chat quoting log 2216 of April 20."
