The Great Wyrley community surely came together this weekend to mark St George's Day with costumes, music, games, and a special carnival and procession.

St. George's Day is usually celebrated on April 23 each year to commemorate the death of the patron saint of England.

This year, the South Staffordshire village went all out for its celebration which included a parade of drummers from the Brereton Corps of Drums, as well as floats that were decorated by the children from local schools and residences.
