Wolverhampton Police's new commander is returning to the city where she spent time earlier in her career.

Jenny was last based in Wolverhampton in 2010 when she was an Inspector over the city’s busy response teams. She has served across the force for almost 24 years, with time spent in both frontline policing as well as Intelligence and Investigations, particularly the Public Protection Unit.

She followed in her father’s footsteps who was also an Inspector based in Wolverhampton many years ago, who was her inspiration to pull on the uniform.

She said: “I have worked in various roles and loved them all but this is my first time as a senior officer in Neighbourhood Policing, so I look forward to the challenge and I am incredibly proud to be a commander for Wolverhampton as someone who grew up in the Black Country.

“Wolverhampton has seen fantastic steps forward in reducing crime over the past year and the teams can be proud of the improvements made in the service we offer local people. The trick now is to carry this on with further reductions in crime, as we strive to make the city safer.”

Jenny leads Wolverhampton Police, which is made up of over 500 officers and staff covering the entirety of the borough that is home to over 263,000 people.

Chief Super Jenny takes over from Chief Superintendent Rich Fisher, who is retiring after 30 years serving communities across the West Midlands.
