Yet more families lives have been wrecked due to the escalating feud which has left two young men dead and an entire community worrying what will happen next.

Their co-accused Samuel Danks-Petty, 20, of Buildwas Close, Mossley,  was found guilty of intent to pervert the course of justice after helping the killers before and after the fatal drive-by shooting.

The six week trial revealed how a petty feud between friends from different estates escalated from fights, social media posts, to stabbings and then eventually murders. And subsequent life sentences.

The climate of fear, loathing and fury across Walsall came to a climax last May following the release of CCTV footage depicting seven men chasing and cornering Bailey Atkinson moments before hacking him to death.

Investigators said that the murder was revenge for the killing of Bailey Atkinson in Walsall in 2023

The shocking footage was released by West Midlands Police after Bailey's seven murderers received 138 years between them at Nottingham Crown Court, one of them was Patrick, brother of Connor.

Sonny Loveridge, 20; Ronan McCulloch, 19; Benjamin Wilkes, 18, all of Bloxwich; Patrick Brookes, 18, of Walsall, along with three 17-year-olds were found guilty of his murder after a trial.
