Man charged after police search car passenger in Stafford and find drugs

A man has been charged after police found drugs, cash and a mobile phone in Stafford.

Officers discovered the items after searching the passenger of a Volkswagen Golf on Merrivale Road at around 11.55am on Wednesday (April 16).

Thomas Moore, from Stafford, has been charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A (heroin) and possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A (crack cocaine), Staffordshire Police said.

The 26-year-old was due to appear at Newcastle-under-Lyme Magistrates Court on Thursday.
