Craig Callear lost control of the high powered white BMW M5 at 8.45pm on Monday, November 1, 2021, veering into the central reservation of the A463 in Bilston.
His front seat passenger Aranpreet Singh, who was in his 20s, had to be cut out of the car by firefighters and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The BMW M5 Competition model Callear crashed features a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine producing 616 horsepower, features an upgraded suspension and aggressive styling. It proved too powerful for the 45-year-old to control.
