Man charged after two teenagers injured in Wordsley knife robbery

A man has been charged after two teenagers were assaulted and threatened with a knife in Wordsley.

West Midlands Police were called to an open space near Swanfield Road in Wordsley, Stourbridge around 6.15pm on Sunday (13 April).

The boys were injured and a bag containing items including a phone and a coat were also taken from them.

Ryan Hand, aged 36, has been charged with robbery, and possession of a bladed article.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court today.

A 12-year-old boy arrested in connection with the incident has been bailed with strict conditions.

Police remain in close contact with the teenagers and their families.
