Former Staffordshire police officer appears in court

A former Staffordshire  police officer has appeared in court following an investigation by the force's Professional Standards Department.

Owen Mills, aged 22, now of Bude, Cornwall, has been charged with two counts of corrupt or improper exercise of police powers and privileges by a constable.

Mills appeared at Cannock Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (April 16) and is due to appear at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on 16 May.
