Shots fired at Halesowen block of flats - sparking investigation and cordon up

An investigation is underway after shots were fired at a block of flats in Halesowen on Monday night.

A police cordon has been set up around Bredon Court in Andrew Road following the incident that happened at around 11.15pm. 

Damage was caused to a vehicle but thankfully no one was injured. 

Officers are carrying out enquiries in the area today to determine a suspect and have increased patrols in the area.

The road is closed around the Andrew Road Car Park.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "We're investigating after gun shots were fired in Bredon Court, Halesowen, at around 11.15pm yesterday (14 April).

"Damage was caused to a vehicle but no-one was injured.

"We're carrying out enquiries in the area - including reviewing CCTV possibilities - as we seek to establish exactly what happened and who was responsible.

"We've increased patrols in the area to provide extra reassurance.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of a shooting on Bredon Court in Halesowen at 11.23pm and sent an ambulance, two paramedic officers, a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic to the scene. Following a search of the property alongside police colleagues, no patients requiring medical treatment were found and we were stood down."
