Camera crews were also reportedly seen in Sedgley last week.

In a post to Facebook on April 9, one man said: "What's going on at Vale Street, Sedgley, looks like camera crews are filming something.

"They've been there a couple of days now."

It has been speculated the filming is for a new murder-mystery drama series, 'Murder Before Evensong', based on the novel written by broadcaster and author Reverend Richard Coles, who is also the only British vicar to have appeared on Strictly and had a number-one hit single (with The Communards in the 1980s).

Channel 5, which is producing the programme alongside Acorn TV, has not confirmed if the sighting of film crews in Stourbridge relates to the new show however said the series is being filmed across the West Midlands.

This includes in Wolverhampton and in Bridgnorth where Harry Potter actor Matthew Lewis, who is set to star as Canon Daniel Clement in the programme, was spotted in February.
