Six fire engines and 30 firefighters called to tackle Walsall factory blaze

Around 30 firefighters are tackling a blaze in Walsall.

Six fire engines were called to the blaze at a factory on Westgate, Aldridge, on Monday (April 14).

West Midlands Fire Service said it started to receive "several 999 calls" just before 12pm.

The blaze took place at the site of JC Payne, a factory which builds commercial vehicle parts.

Several fire engines, police and fire crews could be spotted at the business on Monday afternoon.

In a post to X, formerly Twitter, at around 12.45pm, West Midlands Fire Service said crews were making "good progress" at containing the fire.
