'UK's largest Easter egg' arrives at Merry Hill in 'egg-cellent' Easter event

Standing at an impressive five metres tall, the vibrantly painted egg was unveiled at Merry Hill Shopping Centre in Brierley Hill, kicking off eight days of Easter activities. 

The egg was unveiled as part of a set of family activities where visitors can enjoy a host of fun events, including live Easter bunny performances, an Easter egg hunt and a colourful art trail. 

While visiting to see the mammoth-sized egg, visitors may also be surprised with a secret surprise gift handed out by the Easter bunny, with one lucky customer a day receiving £100 worth of gift cards between April 12 and April 19. 

As if the vibrant egg wasn't colourful enough, families will also be given custom-designed stickers, with the bunnies encouraging families to leave their creative mark on the giant egg, creating a unique piece of art over the nine days. 

Talking about the Easter activities, Jonathan Poole, Centre Manager at Merry Hill, said: "We're thrilled to welcome friends and families from across the West Midlands region to Merry Hill this Easter as we unveil the UK’s largest Easter egg, as well as a whole host of activities for the perfect Easter-themed day out.
