Police appeal to identify man after body found in Smethwick canal
Police are appealing for information to help identify a man whose body was found in a Smethwick canal last year.

Investigators have appealed after the body was discovered in Birmingham canal, between Raboe Lane and Bridge Street in Smethwick, at around 3pm on Saturday, November 30 last year.
West Midlands Police investigated the discovery at the time, however, they have yet to be able to identify him. His body had no injuries upon discovery, and there was no evidence of any third-party involvement.
Detectives described the man as Asian, around 50 or 60 years old, of medium build, and had black hair.
The man had a tattoo on his right hand similar to the Sikh symbol of 'Ek Onkar'.
The force has linked in with the local community, including the Gurdwara nearest to the location, but they have yet to identify him.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "We are appealing to the public to help identify a man whose body was found in a Smethwick canal.
"The man is described as Asian, around 50 to 60 years old, of medium build, and had black hair. Of note, he had a tattoo on his right hand similar to the Sikh symbol of 'Ek Onkar'."
