Two men taken to hospital after Birmingham crash

Two men have been taken to hospital following a crash in Birmingham.

The collision on Thursday (April 10) evening involved two cars on Lichfield Road and Church Road in the Aston area of the city.

Ambulance crews were called to the scene at around 9.50pm.

On arrival, they discovered one man seriously hurt and another who had suffered potentially serious injuries.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Upon arrival we found two men who were the drivers of the vehicles.

“The first man was assessed and had sustained serious injuries. He received advanced trauma care from ambulance staff at the scene before being conveyed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further treatment.”

“The second man was assessed had sustained potentially serious injuries and received treatment from ambulance staff at the scene before being conveyed to Heartlands Hospital for further assessment.”

“No further patients required treatment.”

The Express & Star has approached West Midlands Police for comment.
