Appeal following attempted knifepoint robbery in Darlaston
Police are appealing for information after an attempted robbery on a Darlaston canal towpath where a man in his 70’s was approached and threatened with a knife.

The incident took place on the canal towpath, just off Herberts Park Road, shortly after 1pm on Friday April 4.
Two masked male youths riding a motorbike approached the man and demanded he handed over a bracelet and watch while threatening him with a machete.
The man refused and they got back on the bike and rode off.

PC Jodie Allen, from West Midlands Police's Walsall neighbourhood crime team said: “This was a nasty incident. Fortunately the gentleman wasn’t injured but the incident has left him very shaken.
"We’re keen for witnesses or anyone with any information to please come forward.”
