Two charged with shop thefts in Walsall town centre
Two men have been charged with multiple shop thefts in Walsall town centre.

Ross Phillips, aged 31, from Walsall, was remanded to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court yesterday for a first hearing.
He was charged with ten shop theft offences between 14 January and 3 April this year.
Stuart Shepherd, aged 48, from Dudley, was also remanded to appear at the same court yesterday. He was charged with five shop theft offences between 18 March and 3 April.

They were arrested by officers from St Matthew’s neighbourhood team on Monday.
A police spokesman said: "Combatting shop thefts is a priority at Walsall LPA and we launched Operation Marigold in a bid to tackle shoplifting across the Walsall borough."
