Disqualified lorry driver caught using phone on busy M6 in West Midlands

A lorry driver has been charged after he was spotted using his mobile phone on the M6.

The driver was spotted by ANPR interceptors using his phone while operating the HGV on the motorway earlier this month. 

Officers pulled him over and discovered that he was already serving a driving disqualification for a separate incident. 

The HGV driver was already disqualified from driving.

 He was arrested, charged and remanded in custody and ordered to serve 120 hours of unpaid work, as well as being handed a further 12 month driving ban.
