West Midlands Police will be using Section 60 powers in the Washwood Heath area of Birmingham this evening and overnight following a series of violent incidents in recent days.
It comes as cops investigate a series of disorders, including men fighting with weapons in Washwood Heath Road yesterday evening (April 7).
The powers will be in place in the area on the map, from 6pm today (Tuesday) until 4am tomorrow morning (Wednesday).

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "Section 60 powers allow us to stop and search people without the need to have reasonable grounds.
"As always, our main focus is on keeping everyone safe.
