Man assessed by ambulance crews after collision involving 'stationary car' on West Bromwich road

A man was assessed by ambulance crews following a crash on a West Bromwich road.

The collision took place on Hall Green Road in Stone Cross on Monday (April 7) morning.

One ambulance was called to the scene just before 9.20am to reports a car had crashed with a stationary vehicle.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called to reports of a car that had collided with a stationary car on Hall Green Road at 9.18am, one ambulance attended the scene. 

"On arrival we discovered one patient, a man, who was assessed and discharged at the scene."

Hall Green Road was blocked following the crash but later reopened.

National Express West Midlands warned of diversions to its services as a result of the incident.

In a post to X, formerly Twitter, at 10am, the regional bus operator said: "Due to an emergency service-lead incident at Hall Green Road, West Bromwich, 40 will be diverting in both directions via: Beverley Road and Westminster Road.

"We apologise for any disruption to your journey."
