Teenager due in court over spate of Wolverhampton robberies

 A 16-year-old boy was due in court today after being charged with five robberies around canal towpaths in Wolverhampton.

The teenager, who cannot be named due to his age, was arrested in the city centre on Friday afternoon.

He has been charged with five robberies and after being held in police custody was due at  Wolverhampton Magistrates Court today (Mon).

It comes as officers investigate five robberies in the All Saints and Horseley Fields areas in the last week, some involving threats being made with a weapon.
