After living in Bearwood for a number of years they moved to Oldbury where they have remained ever since.

The loving couple received a card from King Charles and Queen Camilla to mark their milestone and had a family meal to celebrate on Sunday.

Their daughter Kathryn said: "It is quite an achievement to be married for 70 years and they deserve a special occasion. They were also thrilled to receive the card from Buckingham Palace and the family were all delighted for them."
