Busy Wolverhampton road closes in both directions for five days - here's why and what diversion to follow
A Wolverhampton road has closed for five days to enable electricity works to be carried out.

Kempthorne Avenue near Bushbury shut at its junction with Bushbury Lane from Monday (April 7) morning.
It will remain closed off to traffic in both directions until 6pm on Friday.
The road closure is in place to allow National Grid to replace electricity cables.
Diversion routes in place
Motorists and bus passengers have been warned of diversions as a result of the works.
Drivers will be diverted via Elston Hall Lane, Three Tuns Lane, Stafford Road, Cannock Road, Raynor Road, Third Avenue.
The above route will be followed in reverse for motorists travelling in the opposite direction.
National Express West Midlands bus services also face diversions as a result of the road closure.
The services affected and their diversion routes are:
793 to The Woodbine, from Kempthorne Avenue: Hammond Avenue, Bushbury Lane to normal line of route
793 to Compton Schools: Reverse of above
25 to Pendeford, from Kempthorne Avenue: Hammond Avenue, Bushbury Lane, Elston Hall to normal line of route
25 to Wolverhampton: Reverse of above
