Walsall Post Office reopens with new owners

A Walsall Post Office which closed in February 2024 when its postmaster resigned has reopened this week.

Pleck Post Office, located inside the Pleck General Store on Darlaston Road, reopened with new owners on April 2 offering all the usual Post Office services.

Available services include bill payment, cash withdrawals and pre-order foreign currency, postage, home shopping collections and returns.

Customers of main UK banks can access accounts at the new branch.

The shop was put up for sale in February 2024 after the previous postmaster resigned.

Kulwant Dosanjh, Post Office area change manager, said: “We are delighted to have restored Post Office services to Pleck as we know how important a Post Office is to a community.

“I know that the local community will join me in welcoming this good news and hope that our customers will continue to use this service.”

Opening hours are 9am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday, 9am – 2pm on Saturday and closed on Sunday.

Roadside parking is available outside the branch with a disabled parking bay and a car park at the rear.
