Chiefs snap up more disused buildings for Willenhall revamp
Council bosses have taken ownership of another derelict property in Willenhall under compulsory purchase orders as part of efforts to smarten up rundown parts of the town.

The building at 112-114 Newhall Street near the town centre is part of the 226sq ft of land being snapped up in phases by the council in preparation for the construction of new homes on former industrial sites.
The move it regenerate the area surrounding the town centre as well as provide much-needed housing.

Associate Walsall Council leader Councillor Adrian Andrew said: “It’s great to see the plans for Willenhall progressing and now that we’ve taken ownership of yet another site we are one step closer to bringing much-needed new housing forward for our residents.
