Events and attractions to enjoy over the Easter break
There are plenty of things for families to do during the Easter break this year, here are a few you may want to keep an eye on.

With some Black Country schools having broken up for Easter already and others breaking up in the next week, its time to start looking for events and days-out with the family.
Every year there are all sorts of events and attractions people can visit, and 2025 will be no different.
So here are some events you don't want to miss, and how to make sure you're on the guest list.

1) Springtime fun at Bromwich Hall - West Bromwich Manor House Museum
On Monday, April 14 and Tuesday, April 15, the museum will put on Go Play at Easter from 10am – 3pm. Join Go Play for fun games and activities in the sunshine, make Easter crafts and explore the museum with a trail. You can also have a go at competitions to win prizes. Entry is free, just drop in. Small charges apply for crafts. All ages welcome.
Then, Easter Celebration kicks off on Saturday, April 19, from 12am – 3pm. Celebrate Easter and take part in egg trails, activities and competitions. Decorate Easter themed crafts. Egg and spoon races (weather permitting), name the bunny and guess how many eggs are in the jar. Small charges for crafts and some activities, just drop in.
2) Dudley Libraries offer free Easter activities for children
Dudley’s thirteen libraries are all offering a wide range of free activities for children this Easter.
They include spinning eggs craft at Dudley Library, a circus skills workshop at Stourbridge, board games and Easter stencils at Kingswinford, Nintendo Switch at Lye, a Saturday family Lego workshop at Wordsley, an Easter egg hunt at Halesowen, glitter tattoo making at Sedgley, Easter Makaton rattle and rhyme at Brierley Hill, make your own book craft at Netherton, dragon story and play at Gornal, create your own comic at Long Lane, making a spring keepsake box at Cradley and Hungry Caterpillar craft at Coseley Library.
Operating under the Better brand, GLL is the not-for-profit social enterprise that runs Dudley Libraries on behalf of the council.
Stephanie Rhoden, GLL’s Dudley Libraries and Archives Partnership Manager, said: “More than 200 free children’s activity sessions are available across our libraries throughout the Easter holiday period.
“There is something for every age group to enjoy, all with the aim of stimulating learning through fun and creativity.
“Our staff have worked hard to put an excellent programme of sessions together and look forward to running them.
“All sessions should be booked in advance.”

3) Easter family activities at The New Art Gallery Walsall

4) Wolverhampton's Yo! Easter programme.
Wolverhampton’s Yo! Easter programme is now live, offering hundreds of activities and events for the city’s children and young people and their families during the upcoming school holidays.
As usual, the Yo! Wolves Easter programme includes a wide range of free activities – including free food – for eligible children and young people through the Holiday Activities Fund (HAF).
The activities, which are co-funded by the Department for Education, are offered alongside a comprehensive selection of free and paid for activities which are open to everyone.
The Easter programme runs from Monday, April 14 to Friday, April 25 and includes sports, arts and crafts, dance and drama workshops, photography, fun days and much more.
Highlights include a School of Coding, where young people can explore the world of AI, coding, and robotics, CCUE Sports, offering snooker sessions for youngsters aged between 12 and 16, and Fit Directory, providing outdoor games, treasure hunts and interactive sports, while The Way Youth Zone is calling all budding artists, and sports superstars aged 8 to 12.

5) Easter egg trails with the National Trust
Over 190 National Trust Easter trails taking place across England, Wales and Northern Ireland and a handful of them will be taking place across the Black Country and Staffordshire.
Most trails are taking place over the bank holiday weekend (April 18 - 21) and during local school holidays
Explore mazes and meadows, kitchen gardens and orchards, parkland and woodland bursting with the signs of spring
Enjoy nature-inspired crafts, egg and spoon races, welly wanging, den-building, seed planting and much, much more.
Trails cost £3.50 plus normal admission/free admission for National Trust members/guests of National Trust holidays
Cost includes chocolate egg, or a vegan and Free From chocolate egg, made here in the UK using cocoa from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms.

6) Family Fun with Easter Stick Man Activities at the National Memorial Arboretum
From April 14 to April 18, families are invited to the National Memorial Arboretum for a week of exciting free activities.
Leading the fun is the year-round free Stick Man Outdoor Trail, alongside a variety of Stick Man themed activities including arts and crafts and music-making sessions.
Set within the beautiful woodland surroundings of the Arboretum, there’s something for every member of the family to enjoy during the Easter holidays.

7) Apley Farm Shop - Between Bridgnorth and Telford.
An egg hunt and Easter bonnet making will be taking place at Apley Farm Shop, on the A442 between Telford and Bridgnorth, as well as opportunities for children to meet the Easter bunny over the school holidays.
Some events will be held in the Playbarn and some in the picturesque Apley Farm Shop courtyard, while the egg hunt will follow an all-terrain path in the fields surrounding the courtyard - parents are advised to ‘hop’ online and book a ticket sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment.
Tickets for the play and find, which includes the Easter trial and a one and half hour session in the Playbarn, are £14.99 per child and they can be accompanied by two adults for no extra cost. Additional adults are charged at £2 each on the day and each ticket is for a set arrival time slot.
A Hide and Seek ticket, which does not include playbarn entry, is £9.99.
The Easter bunny will be available for 30 minutes after 10:30am, 12:30pm and 2:30pm, so participants need to ensure they have finished the egg hunt by these times to see the Easter bunny.
