The owner and landlady of a popular pub in Clent has died suddenly, prompting its closure.

The Fountain at Clent shut on Wednesday after announcing Jackie, described as the "heart and soul" of the venue had died.

A notice posted on their Facebook page paid tribute to her kindness and how she would be "deeply missed" by everyone far and wide.
It read: "It is with a heavy heart that we share the heartbreaking news of the sudden passing of Jackie - our boss, our friend, and the much-loved owner of The Fountain at Clent.
"We are truly devastated. Jackie wasn’t just the owner, she was the heart and soul of The Fountain.
"Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication touched the lives of so many, and she will be deeply missed by all of us and the wider community.
"As we take time to come to terms with this tremendous loss, we kindly ask for your patience, understanding, and compassion."
