Former TV doctor on trial for indecently assaulting child patient at Black Country hospital

A former TV doctor has gone on trial accused of indecently assaulting a child patient and at a Black Country Hospital.

Aviar Bracka, 73, of Balmoral Road, Wordsley, showed a 12-year-old child pornography and touched him sexually during medical examinations in the 1990s, Wolverhampton Crown Court heard.

Bracka is charged with indecent assault on a child and five counts of indecently assaulting an adult whilst he was a consultant at Wordsley Hospital, now closed and subsumed into Russells Hall Hospital.

Bracka appeared in BBC2 documentary Trust Me, I’m A Doctor in the late 1990s carrying out a delicate operation on a youngster. He worked as an acclaimed consultant at Russells Hall Hospital until 2010. 

The jury heard statements from the child he allegedly sexually assaulted twice during yearly check-ups after a penis operations.
