Racist jailed for headbutting and racially abusing stranger in Wolverhampton shop
A drunken racist who headbutted a stranger in a Wolverhampton shop then subjected him to a vile racial tirade has been jailed.
Craig Woodman, 53, was just days from a suspended sentence for racial crimes running out when he attacked the stranger in November 2023.
Staggering and abusive in a Wolverhampton shop Woodman, of Merryvale Road, "manufactured" an argument with an Asian shopper.
He then head butted the innocent man with such force he fell back into the shop's shelves. Woodman then stood above him and shouted racial slurs to him leaving him traumatised and scared.
Woodman pleaded guilty to assault actioning bodily harm and racial aggravated harassment at Wolverhampton Crown Court.
