Man, 33, charged after £60,000 worth of cocaine and £11,000 cash seized in Rugeley

A man has been charged after officers stopped a car in Rugeley, finding cash, cocaine and a mobile phone.

Staffordshire Police have charged a man with two counts of possession with intent to supply cocaine, supplying cocaine and enquiring/using/possessing criminal property. 

Benjamin Middleton, 33, from Uttoxeter, was charged after a mobile phone, cocaine and mobile were seized from a vehicle in Rugeley at around 8.10pm on Wednesday. 

As part of the investigation, a property in Uttoxeter was also searched, with officers finding a total of nearly £60,000 worth of cocaine and around £11,000 in cash.

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: "Benjamin Middleton, 33, from Uttoxeter, has been charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply cocaine, supplying cocaine and acquiring/using/possessing criminal property. 

"A total of nearly £60,000 worth of cocaine and around £11,000 in cash was found."

Middleton is due to appear at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Friday (April 4).
