'He was a lovely man' - Tributes flood in for 'true Tipton gentlemen' who sadly died in house fire

Residents have paid tribute to a 'true gentleman' who sadly died as the result of a tragic house fire on Sunday morning.

Emergency services rushed to the scene of Elizabeth Walk, Tipton, at around 6.20am on Sunday to reports of a serious house fire taking place at a residential address.

Approximately 50 fire personnel and seven fire engines helped to tackle the blaze, with the fire being declared 'under control' as of 7am. 

Sadly, the body of a man, aged 79, and his dog, were located on the property following the fire.

Now, residents have paid tribute to the 'loving man' known locally as 'Hal'.
