Mother-and-daughter florists Julie Daly, aged 60, and Nichola McColl, aged 33, of Wolverhampton's Flowercraft in Chapel Ash, are among the traders who have been rushed off their feet preparing bouquets for customers to collect.
Nichola, who lives in Staffordshire, says: "We've been really busy. With Valentine's we find it's all one day for orders, but with Mother's Day it's on all week.

"A lot of people leave it to us. There's a lot of pinks and other pastel colours and some people tell us to put some of our popular flowers in the bunch.
"I like the pinks and the pastels."
The team handle around 70 to 80 orders per day in the run-up to the big day and say there is little time for breaks due to the high demand.
Mothering Sunday, also known as Mother's Day, is a special day to celebrate motherhood. The tradition emerged during the Middle Ages with people returning to their "mother church" or the church where they were baptised or dedicated on the fourth Sunday of Lent.
It is distinct from the United States Mother's Day, which is celebrated on the second Sunday of May.
