Inmate rushed to hospital after second stabbing at HMP Swinfen Hall near Lichfield in a week
An inmate has been rushed to hospital after being stabbed at HMP Swinfen Hall - the second such incident in a week.

Emergency services rushed to the scene of Swinfen Hall Prison, near Lichfield, at around 4pm today (March 28), to reports of a inmate being stabbed inside the prison.
Staffordshire Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service crews attended the incident, sending one ambulance, a paramedic officer, the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Tatenhill.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to an incident at HMP Swinfen Hall in Lichfield at 3.37pm and sent an ambulance, a paramedic officer, the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Tatenhill to the scene.”

Staffordshire Police confirmed that on arrival, crews discovered a patient, an inmate in his 20s, who was quickly rushed to the hospital.
A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: "We were called to HMP Swinfen Hall, Lichfield, shortly after 4pm on Friday (March 28) following reports of an inmate being stabbed.
"Officers went to the scene alongside paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service and Midlands Air Ambulance. The victim, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital.
"Officers remain at the scene."
Second incident
It is the second stabbing at HMP Swinfen Hall in just over a week, with a similar incident taking place last Friday (March 21).
An inmate was taken to hospital after receiving trauma care for serious injuries.
A West Midlands Ambulance Spokesperson said: "Upon arrival, we found a man with serious injuries. He received advanced trauma care from ambulance staff at the scene before being conveyed to hospital for further treatment."
The Prison Service had been approached for comment about the March 21 incident, however, a representative said they "cannot comment" on a live police investigation.
The Ministry of Justice has been approached for comment.
