West Midlands Fire Service first alerted residents to the fire in Alma Street, Heath Town, in the early hours of Saturday (March 22).
People were urged to close their doors and windows as fire crews worked to tackle the blaze.

At 12.50pm on Saturday, a fire service spokesman confirmed the fire had been extinguished but said five crews were still dampening down the site due to the "size and seriousness" of the blaze.

On Sunday morning, West Midlands Fire Service confirmed two fire engines and a hydraulic platform, often sent to fires in tall buildings, remained at the scene.
Crews were said to still be dampening down and checking for hotspots.
The fire broke out nearby to the rail line, with West Midlands Railway forced to divert trains between Birmingham ad Wolverhampton on Saturday as a result.
Services on this line were running as normal on Sunday morning.
