Man charged with multiple shop thefts in Walsall
West Midlands Police has charged a man with two shop thefts, assaulting a police officer and possessing drugs following an arrest by Walsall town centre neighbourhood officers.

Officers from the Force's Pleck and Delves neighbourhood team responded 'quickly' yesterday morning (March 20) to arrest a man who had allegedly stolen goods from a shop on Broadway, Walsall.
Tobias Gladwin, 34, from West Bromwich, was charged and remanded to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court today (March 21) for a first hearing.
He has been charged with theft from a shop on February 3 and March 20, possession of a controlled drug Class B on March 20 and common assault of an officer on February 3.
He has also been previously charged with 27 shop theft offences across Walsall and the possession of a knife with his court case adjourned until June 16, at Dudley Crown Court.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "Our neighbourhood teams and Problem Solving Team have been working hard to apprehend people who carry out shop thefts.
"We know the frustration and impact of shop thefts on businesses, and we're running Op Marigold as part of our drive to combat retail crime."
