It comes after a 22-year-old man was fatally stabbed in Bloxwich Road on Monday evening.

Emergency services were rushed to the scene shortly after 5pm and the victim was admitted to hospital, but he sadly died of his injuries just before midnight.

West Midlands Police have launched an investigation into the death of the young man and have arrested a 52-year-old man on suspicion of murder.

He remains in police custody today.

The road remains closed both ways from Forest Lane to Hospital Street.

There is currently a diversion in operation for the number 3, 32, and X51 buses.

Residents who live nearby spoke of their shock, with many now worried to let their children go out alone.
A Section 60 stop-and-search order will remain in place until Wednesday morning.
Detective inspector Joe Davenport, who is leading the investigation, said: "We’re at a very early stage of the investigation and are working hard to understand what has happened and why.
“I’d urge anyone with information, CCTV, dashcam, doorbell or other footage from the area at the time to get in touch with us as soon as possible."
