Man taken to hospital with 'serious facial injuries' after assault outside West Bromwich pub

A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries to his face after being assaulted outside a West Bromwich pub.

The victim, a man in his 30s, was 'kicked and punched' to the head outside a pub on the High Street, in West Bromwich on Saturday.

The attack took place just after midnight, and the victim was taken to hospital with serious facial injuries. 

Police have launched a probe into the incident and are reviewing CCTV footage and speaking to witnesses. 

No arrests have been made and police inquiries are continuing.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "We were called just before 12.20am on Saturday (March 15) to High Street, West Bromwich after reports of an assault outside a pub.

"The victim, a man in his 30s, was kicked and punched to his head. He was taken to hospital with serious facial injuries. We are reviewing CCTV footage and speaking to witnesses.

A WMAS spokesperson added: "We were called to reports of an assault on High Street, West Bromwich at 0.14am on Saturday morning (15th March). An ambulance and a paramedic officer responded to the scene. Crews arrived to find a man in a serious condition. He received treatment on scene before being conveyed to hospital for further care."
